Ryokan Part 3
All dressed up/down in yukatas to go to the onsen. Unfortunately there were no yukatas in Sophie's size.
This is the bathing place. You sit on a tiny wooden stool and wash yourself thoroughly. Then take a bit of hot water from the onsen and splash yourself from the feet up to get your body used to the temperature, then dip into the actual hot spring.
