Playstation

The other day we were in the mrt and she was so fascinated with the portable playstation (I think it was that) that the guy next to me was playing with. Kept trying to grab it, leaning towards it. This is the IT generation all right!

Baby Einstein

Watching the highly-rated-by-some and badly-rated-by-some vcd for babies 'Baby Einstein' with Daddy. Personally I found it SO boring. Give me Sesame Street ANYday..



I'm not very sure whether she enjoyed it or not, but she seems to be saying, "Please change channels, Daddy, please!"

Hide and Seek

Actually not really playing hide and seek. More like she got stuck under the table and didn't know how to gostan*! She is still trying to figure out how to move in her walker. I think she tends to move by accident rather than by design. Wonder how long it will take. The steering wheel seems to be only good for sucking, in her opinion.



If you notice, she is wearing her pajamas. This was one night when she wasn't ready to go to sleep yet. One of 'those days'... Her bedtime seems to be getting later...

This and that

This is how she ended up one Sunday morning. Been tossing and turning and trying to get up (even though eyes still tightly shut). Finally she ended up like that and it must have been a comfortable position cos she fell back to sleep!



New toy from Mothercare. Water filled octopus to pat-pat. She hasn't quite got the hang of it yet. But she still thinks it's good for sucking! Just hope she doesn't bite it and puncture it.

Out with Daddy

Daddy took Sophie out to get groceries this afternoon. I was having a much needed rest so they set off with a shopping list and the stroller. They came back about an hour later and little one was dumped onto the bed by a Daddy with rather a grim face. According to him, she had S.C.R.E.A.M.E.D all the way home. The kind of scream until i cough-cough kind of scream. She got a lot of finger wagging and "You cannot scream like that you know!!".

Oh well... that's a baby for you!!

Little Mermaid

Swimming again today, in the heat of the sun! Meant to go a lot earlier. After breakfast, in fact. But she fell asleep, so by the time we left the house it was past 11. We slathered on sun block lotion, so hopefully there'll be no lobsters or littke black babies...

Heinz Rice Cereal

I've started Sophie on cereal recently. I meant to wait till she was 6 months - the 'right' time to start - but aiyah, cannot wait la. It makes it easier to leave her with a babysitter so that I can have some time off once or twice a week - totally necessary for my sanity!!



She seems to like it...



So far have just been giving her a 2-3 teaspoons twice a day. I'm hoping it will make her little tummy so full that she doesn't wake up so often at night. It worked one night, and then didn't the next night. I think it's a multi-factorial issue.

Swimsuit

Sophie and I went shopping by ourselves yesterday. We spent about 2 hours in Causeway Point. She was pretty good. I think we walked almost the whole place except Cold Storage. Got some good buys, too. Most excitingly, a swimsuit for Sophie. (I know, I know, it's not really such a big deal. First kid, mah... and so cute!) I don't think it will last for very long because it fits just nicely, but they didn't have the next size up and anyway, swimsuits get looser in the water.




And of course have to get matching armbands...



Bare back!



Going swimming this weekend. Now if only I can fit into my swimsuit too!

My Taxi

God is good! Have been wanting to get a walker for Sophie - you know, ANYTHING to keep her occupied. Went to Kiddi Palace last Friday. Wow... not cheap leh.. from $50 to $80. So asked God for one. And He gave us one! On loan from Sam and Naomi and in good condition. (Thanks guys!) Sophie hasn't seemed to get the hang of it yet. She only moves backward, and then cries because she is moving further away from us. But it shouldn't take long before she is zooming around the room.

Two thumbs

I caught her sucking BOTH her thumbs at once the other day! Aiyo.. one tak cukup ke?
